Overview

Solodev Branding allows users to customize the backend of the Solodev CMS system to reflect their organization’s branding. Administrators can choose a logo, primary button colour, secondary button colour, apply custom CSS and configure a custom dashboard for their users. 

This tutorial shows administrators how to set their own logo and customize the dashboard to reflect their organization's brand. 

Managing branding settings

Step 1 – Setting the Logo

  • From the Solodev CMS dashboard click Settings under the Admin section. 
  • Click Branding in the Settings dashboard. 
  • Under Logo, click Choose File
  • Select the logo in Finder or Windows Explorer. 
  • Click Submit

Step 2 – Configuring the dashboard 

  • From the Solodev CMS dashboard click Settings under the Admin section. 
  • Click Branding in the Settings dashboard. 
  • Set the CSS colour by typing the hex value into the text box or clicking the coloured square to bring up the colour picker.
  • In the Custom CSS text box enter the following lines of code:

  • In the Custom Dashboard Section, click the Enable Custom Dashboard checkbox
  • In the Custom Dashboard Markup text box, enter the following lines of code:

  • Click Submit
  • Click the Solodev logo or custom logo to go to the dashboard and view the results. 

 

Step 3 – Restoring defaults

  • From the Solodev CMS dashboard click Settings under the Admin section. 
  • Click Branding in the Settings dashboard. 
  • Under the thumbnail of the custom logo, click Use Default Logo. 
  • In the Primary Button Colour text box enter the following hex value:  
#0488CE
  • In the Secondary Button Colour enter the following hex value:
#FA9206
  • Delete the CSS in the Custom CSS text box. 
  • Expand the Custom Dashboard accordion. 
  • Uncheck the Enable Custom Dashboard checkbox. 
  • Click Submit
