Overview

Solodev allows administrators to choose from a variety of native and third-party applications to enhance the functionality of their websites, drive digital marketing programs, and execute ambitious campaigns that convert leads. This tutorial shows administrators how to install and manage applications in the Solodev CMS system. 

Managing applications 

Step 1 – Installing applications

  • Login to Solodev CMS.
  • Click Settings located under the Admin section of the Solodev dashboard. 
  • Click Apps.
  • On the Apps page, click Add App. The user is directed to the application page. 
  • In the Hello World application card, click Install
  • Enter the Name and choose a section of the dashboard where the application will be located. 
  • Click Submit

Note: The application can be opened from the Solodev dashboard. In this example the application was installed under the Workspace section of the Dashboard. Click the Solodev icon and then click Hello World located in the Workspace section. 

Step 2 – Modifying applications

Administrators have the ability to modify native Solodev applications and replace them with their own. Solodev recommends uploading slim-php applications. 

  • In the Settings dashboard, click Apps
  • Click Modify to the right of the Hello World app.
  • Under Assets(.zip), click Choose File
  • Select your application from Windows Explorer or Finder.
  • Click Submit

Step 3 – Deleting applications

  • In the Settings dashboard, click Apps
  • Click Modify to the right of the Hello World app.
  • Expand the Advanced accordion. 
  • Type the word ‘DELETE’ in the text box. 
  • Click Delete
